The writing and mystery are fine, but the story is just not what I look for in an urban fantasy series. It leans too heavily on the physical aspect of mythology, which is interesting and different from other UF series out in the market, but there isn't enough background mythology to pull me in. I prefer a rich world filled with monsters, some with conscience and others mindless and the rest in between. Will not continue, mostly because I've heard it gets better for a while but then gets worse after a certain point. The latest books are all sex (maybe?) and not enough mystery.
